The 10th edition of Rovigo Cello City promises to be exceptional, a milestone of significant prestige that testifies to the constant qualitative level of the artistic offer.

The festival dedicated to the cello, which every year marks the end of summer, this year is held from 3 to 10 September 2023, also in the main City.

A parterre of internationally renowned artists to celebrate this important birthday and a week which, in addition to concerts, includes masterclasses, meetings and moments of conviviality always in the name of music. Among the prominent names Arthur Hornig, principal cello of the Deutsche Oper orchestra in Berlin and the happy return to Rovigo of Giovanni Sollima who will close the festival.

The formula that best identifies the Festival is one of a kind: not only the festival’s ability to attract the most prestigious names in the cello at an international level but above all the intention of bringing young students of the instrument closer to great artists so that they can draw from ‘meeting the ultimate inspiration.

As always, the main stage will be set up in the Tempio della Rotonda, as well as other evocative venues such as the Church of Christ, the foyer of the Teatro Sociale, the cloister of the Olivetani Monastery and the “Marco Tamburini” Auditorium of the Venezze Conservatory.

An unmissable opportunity not only to participate in the festival, but also to spend a few days of vacation discovering the historical and artistic heritage of Rovigo and the many nearby villages where you can find villas-palaces, large and small museums, sacred places without forgetting nature and the flavors of land and water that the “Terra fra Adige-Po” can offer with taste and spirit.
